CFF Fluid Control Limited and TKMS have signed a Joint Venture Agreement to establish TKMS CFF Defence Systems Private Limited in India. The joint venture company will be held 51% by CFF and 49% by TKMS. Its registered office will be in Mumbai, and its manufacturing and integration operations will run from a purpose-built electronics and systems facility in Chakan, Pune.

The agreement marks the next stage of a partnership developed since the two companies signed a Teaming Agreement in 2023. The partners are establishing a dedicated Indian systems house to address underwater-domain programmes together. The joint venture will build indigenous capability in anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and underwater defence systems, spanning indigenisation, manufacturing, integration and through-life support. It combines TKMS’s sonar and sensor technologies with CFF’s expertise in engineering, mechanical and electronic systems, and naval fleet sustainment.

“By bringing together TKMS’s proven underwater-defence technology and CFF’s engineering and manufacturing strengths, we aim to build enduring Indian capability, rather than simply transfer technology,” said Sunil Menon, Managing Director of CFF Fluid Control Limited. “We recognise the responsibility that comes with this trust and are committed to living up to it.”
